Spotlight on Industrial Flash Memory Storage Solutions

 

For embedded and industrial OEM applications, Flash storage solutions offers high performance and a wide range of customization options. Industrial SD Memory Cards

Industrial secure digital—or SD—memory cards are designed to be utilized with applications that use the SD interface. They feature SLC NAND Flash and low power consumption, and they are available in capacities ranging from 128MB to 32GB. They can operate in extreme temperature conditions, from as low as -40 degrees C to as high as 85 degrees C, without any loss of function.

 

Industrial microSD Memory Cards

Industrial microSD cards offer many of the same benefits as standard SD memory cards, but in a smaller size for use in devices with limited space for memory. The industrial versions of these cards offer SLC Flash and come in capacities ranging from 128MB to 16GB. They have read speeds of 24MB/second and write speeds of 20MB/second, with 10 years of data retention.

 

Industrial mSATA SSD

Industrial mSATA SSDs are available in both SLC and MLC Flash options and are appropriate for applications that need solid state storage with a small footprint. Capacities go from 4GB to 1TB, with the ability to withstand industrial operating temperatures. Industrial 2.5” SSDs are available for embedded hosts with 2.5” SATA HDDs to allow users to reap the benefits of lower power consumption and up to 2TB of storage.

 

Industrial CF

Industrial CompactFlash, or CF, is available in SLC Flash, with optional MLC Flash in some versions. The capacities of CF cards run the gamut from 128MB to 128GB. These kinds of Flash memory cards are often used for critical data logging and as a boot drive in industrial applications with an OS image load.
