Product Description

The Embedded USB, or eUSB, form factor, and the industrial embedded USB flash storage card, continue to be popular for industrial applications. This is due to the small size, ease of integration and mechanical ruggedness. Since most processors support the USB interface, it is a natural choice when a small amount of storage is needed and the host cannot physically accommodate a traditional HDD / SSD form factor.  Delkin delivers industrial eUSB drives in high endurance SLC flash, in capacities up to 32GB, perfect for loading an OS and logging critical data.  Several different 10- pin headers are available to match the processor board, in different stand-off heights and in 0.100” or 2 mm pitch.

To ensure consistent performance and host compatibility, Delkin builds all eUSB drives to a controlled bill of materials – with the specific flash chips, controller, firmware revision, connector and fixed/removable configuration locked in the part number.  A new part number is required when any of these critical items is altered.  Delkin also recognizes that life cycle management is one of the most important attributes for industrial users when selecting a storage supplier. Measures are taken to maximize the life cycle of industrial product offerings, but when component discontinuation is inevitable, Delkin publishes advance EOL notifications.  Users then have the ability to place last time buys and qualify replacement parts in advance.

Delkin industrial eUSB drives are also customizable, with content loading, labeling or inclusion of a new custom connector. Contact Delkin to discuss your unique requirements for Embedded USB drives or portable Industrial USB thumb drives.
