What You Need to Know about Industrial CF Card 4GB Products
Industrial CompactFlash—also called CF—is an enormously popular form of flash storage for devices that are used in exacting conditions with mission-critical data. An industrial CF card 4GB storage capacity can be used in an array of products and devices, thanks to the reliability of industrial grade flash memory and constant uptime. The 4GB size is ideal for industrial products with moderate storage needs. Here is a closer look.
CF Cards
CF cards are one of the most popular flash storage formats available today, in part because they have been on the market for so long. Since they were introduced in 1994, CF cards have been adapted to meet changing technologies without compromising any of their recognized performance capabilities.
CF cards are available in a range of capacities, from as little as 128MB up to 128GB, depending on the type of flash used and other design factors. CF cards with 4GB of capacity are available with both SLC and MLC flash.
Industrial CF Cards
Industrial CF cards are specially designed to withstand extreme operating conditions. This includes temperatures ranging from -40 degrees C to 85 degrees C and large amounts of shock and vibration. They also have integrated SMART features, making it possible to manage the lifespan of embedded storage more effectively. Since industrial grade CF cards are designed with SLC NAND flash, their read and write speeds are faster than MLC-based cards and they provide the highest possible level of data protection.
