Taking a Closer Look at Data Reliability Testing

 

When it comes to flash memory, reliability is key. For this reason, data reliability testing is an important part of choosing flash memory products and ensuring they are working as efficiently as possible in the applications in which they are used. Types of Data Reliability Testing

At Delkin, we offer a variety of tests to ensure that every flash memory product we sell is compatible with the host application in which it may be used. One such test is our Design Verification Testing, or DVT. This kind of testing is done on all new designs to determine if they behave as expected and to spot any functionality issues before the new designs are in the field. A similar kind of testing is Ongoing Reliability Testing, or ORT. We perform ORT on all of our products, which allows us to continually assess the reliability and performance of our flash memory devices.

 

HALT, or Highly Accelerated Life Testing, is another kind of data reliability testing we offer at Delkin. With HALT, we recreate real-world, long-term use conditions to see how our products perform over time. HALT can be performed with a variety of customizations in order to identify any potential problems well before the flash memory is installed and deployed in the field, so that data integrity is not compromised.

 

In-House Testing Benefits

Although many manufacturers of flash memory offer testing of their products, Delkin data reliability testing has the advantage of being performed in-house. In-house product testing lets us closely observe the testing conditions to prevent any discrepancies that could impact the outcomes. We also have state-of-the-art testing equipment that our team is deeply familiar with, which further increases the validity of our results.
