Solid state flash storage is a version of data storage used in SSDs. SSD stands for solid state drive, and is a drive format that is a popular alternative to HDDs, or hard disk drives. It also has higher levels of data security and is able to operate in extreme conditions without loss of performance. Solid state flash storage can also be extremely small, so it’s ideal for devices with a limited amount of space.
