Overview of the 16GB SLC Flash Drive

If your company is looking for a flash storage solution with impressive longevity, a single-level cell (SLC) flash drive could be the answer. The 16GB SLC flash drive offered by Delkin is quick to process and access data, and slow to develop data corruption issues.

Capacity of the Flash Drive

Not every application requires a high storage capacity. The 16GB SLC flash drive is ideal for a wide range of applications in which smaller amounts of data need to be reliably stored. The 16GB flash drive has sufficient memory to store thousands of documents. As an example, if your company plans to store product manuals on flash drives to offer to customers, the 16GB SLC flash drive offers plenty of capacity for this purpose.

Ruggedness of the Flash Drive

The 16GB SLC flash drive is available in the standard form factor for maximum compatibility with industrial applications. The total length of the B270 series is 67.7 mm. This flash drive fits USB 2.0 drives. Like all of the flash storage devices designed and manufactured by Delkin, the SLC flash drive is highly durable and rugged, with an impressive operating temperature range. It’s capable of withstanding temperatures ranging from negative 40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius.

Architecture of the SLC Flash Drive

Multi-level cell (MLC) flash drives store at least two bits per cell. In contrast, SLC flash drives store one bit of data per cell. SLC flash storage is always in one of two states. These are programmed (0) or erased (1). Although MLC devices offer higher storage capacities, SLC flash is often ideal for applications in which data longevity and reliability are crucial. Data can also be accessed quickly, since it is not necessary for the firmware to access multiple levels of data while performing read and write operations.
