Delkin, however, suggests that its SensorScope is mainly intended to limit cleaning. This device is a modified five-times-power magnifying lens for checking sensors to see if they're in fact dirty. Excessive cleaning of the sensors' delicate surfaces can cause permanent damage that shows up as darkened areas in images....
