Which Delkin products are you using and why?

I use Delkin 8gb and 16 gb e-Film Pro UDMA Compact Flash cards because they are fast and reliable.

I use the Card Bus 54 Reader as it is fast and reliable and, along with Downloader Pro, a Breeze Browser program, is the basis of my downloading system. I am usually downloaded by the time we get to lunch and folks on our IPTs (Instructional Photo Tours) are always amazed.

Delkin's SensorScope saves me tons of valuable time, literally hours each month as I no longer have to create test images when I clean the sensors of my many digital cameras. And it lets me actually see the dust particles so that I can clean the sensor quickly, easily, and safely.

Tips and Tricks

What are some tips and tricks for photographers?

When the sun is out, always point your shadow at the subject, that is, work with direct frontal lighting--the sun should be right behind you.

Watch the angle of the bird's head in relation to the imaging sensor. When creating portraits with the bird roughly parallel to the imaging sensor it is usually best to make the image when the bird's head is turned 2 or 3 degrees towards you. If the bird's head is turned away from you, that will usually wreck the image.

Get low when working in flat areas. Creating images from the bird's eye level will almost always yield intimate photographs with the foregrounds and backgrounds pleasingly out of focus.
